Trustee refresh process

It’s 5 years since the Kororareka Russell Community Kaitiaki Wharf Trust was established, and since that time they have achieved a number of outcomes for our community which benefit us all. Find out more what has been happening in recent times with our brief summary. The Trust is now poised to get involved to help with the Placemaking Project and other initiatives for our community.

Under the terms of the Trust Deed, the First Trustees must step down after 5 years in office. As a consequence, we are looking for new Trustees, although the original Trustees are eligible to reapply.

If you have the following attributes:

  • Sound judgement and common sense;
  • Ability to work as a team and make a contribution to the team;
  • A willingness to consider the needs of the wider community and a range of interests of the various residents and manuhiri when making decisions;
  • Be prepared to volunteer time and energy to assist the Trust achieve its outcomes and projects for the community.

In terms of skills, if you have experience in general business management, maritime operations, asset management, tourism, legal, accountancy or practical construction skills we’d love to hear from you. Come on board and get involved!
